Five products I led or built, from enterprise security to native mobile apps. What the problem was, what I did, and what changed.

Indoor positioning where GPS can’t reach

Flowlead: native iOS and Android apps that track a person’s position inside cruise ships, using Bluetooth beacons and the phone’s own sensors.

The challenge

Detect reliably when someone changes floor by stairs or elevator. This was the exact problem the client had with the previous contractor.

The result

The proof of concept and the working floor‑change algorithm secured the commission for PixelStudio.

What I did

  • Designed the floor‑change detection algorithm that is in use today.
  • Building the iOS and Android apps, and taking part in every technical decision.
  • Designing how the phone’s sensors refine Bluetooth scans to improve accuracy.
  • Built a working proof of concept quickly with Claude Code to validate the idea with the client.
  • Went on board in person to test the tracking system in real conditions.

5B+transactions a month on the platform

Securing logins for large companies

Single sign‑on and audit logs that let a platform handling over 5 billion transactions a month sell to enterprise clients.

The challenge

Large companies want their staff to log in with their own company accounts, and need every action recorded for compliance audits (SOC 2, GDPR). Without that, they would not sign.

The result

Enterprise‑grade security that helped the platform reach SOC 2 and GDPR compliance and move into larger enterprise markets.

What I did

  • Defined the enterprise login and compliance roadmap together with the CEO and CTO.
  • Built single sign‑on for both modern and older company login systems (OpenID Connect and SAML 2.0).
  • Connected SAML logins to the platform’s existing token system, so big clients could plug in without rewriting the platform.
  • Made login tokens safer, with audience checks and a refresh system that logs nobody out.
  • Designed and built the audit log end to end: a simple API for developers and a back‑office screen for client admins.
  • Wrote the customer guide for setting up single sign‑on, reducing support requests.

3developers led

An AI‑powered mobile app, from idea to launch

A brand‑new product led from the first sketches to launch: product design, backend, native iOS app and a team of 3 developers.

The challenge

A greenfield product: no code and no design yet, only a vision from the company’s leadership. An independent contract, done in parallel with my role at PixelStudio, in my own time.

The result

The application launched, with the full stack delivered: backend, native iOS, native Android and AI features.

What I did

  • Defined the product vision, scope and roadmap with the CEO and CTO.
  • Designed the whole experience, from concept to high‑fidelity mockups and prototypes in Sketch.
  • Wrote the API contract first (OpenAPI), so the app and the backend could be built in parallel.
  • Built the backend in Python (FastAPI) and reviewed 100% of the backend code.
  • Built the native iOS app from scratch in Swift and guided the Android team.
  • Set up secure login for both apps with Auth0.
  • Managed a team of 3 developers with Agile sprints in ClickUp.

He understood our goals quickly, proposed smart solutions, and delivered high‑quality results on time.

€100kseed investment raised

A privacy platform that helped raise a seed round

A GDPR compliance platform built from scratch, whose security design helped the startup raise a €100,000 seed investment.

The challenge

Let people manage their personal data on third‑party websites, while guaranteeing that not even the platform itself could read that data.

The result

The platform’s security architecture and features were instrumental in securing a €100,000 seed investment from the Data Pitch accelerator.

What I did

  • Designed and built the entire web application, as the only developer in the first phase.
  • Built plugins for WordPress, PrestaShop and Magento so online shops could join easily.
  • Built a secure OAuth 2.0 flow so users could safely grant access to their data on other sites.
  • Designed an end‑to‑end encrypted cache: data is encrypted on the user’s device and unreadable by the server.

10×faster key functions

A compliance platform that works without a stable connection

The RINACube Electronic Logbook: a mission‑critical platform used by over 25 international shipping companies to record operations and comply with environmental regulations.

The challenge

Keep millions of compliance records accurate and in sync between ships and offices, even when the connection is slow or drops for long periods.

The result

A reliable platform that keeps working in difficult conditions, now faster and able to scale.

What I did

  • Built the ship‑to‑shore data sync from the ground up, so no data is lost through long disconnections (RabbitMQ, rsync).
  • Split a multi‑million record database across several databases, with API versioning so every deployed version keeps working.
  • Re‑designed the core data handling with full backward compatibility, rolled out with zero downtime after two weeks of testing.
  • Profiled the slowest parts of the system and made key functions over 10× faster.
  • Turned regulatory requirements (MARPOL, IMO) into clear specifications for a team of 5 developers.

Neptune Incident Manager

Modernised the frontend of an enterprise incident platform with a library of reusable Angular components, and built an Android companion app (Ionic) with a fast QR code scanner for staff in the field.
